Fire Activity Forecast

Forecast Description

NWCC's Fire Activity Forecast product forecasts numbers of wildfire ignitions and conditional probabilities of a large fire over the next 5 days for each Predictive Service Area. Forecasts are based on our own statistical model relating forecasted weather and fuel dryness to fire activity. Adjustments to model ouputs are made at the discretion of the NWCC Operational Forecaster.
